Tri Tip 7s is brought to you annually by the SLO Rugby Board of Directors.
It is with their tireless efforts every summer that we bring you this event.

The hotels are close to downtown, have pool/spa amenities.
Hotels in town fill up fast due to activities at Cal Poly, so we suggest making reservations early.

Team registration fees include the Southern California Rugby Referee Society $75 per team referee fee.  This fee is mandatory, and passed on to your team at approx. $7.50 per player.​

Tournament Information

  • Your entry fees include a minimum of 4 games, and famous TRI TIP barbecue dinner and beer for                      10 players.
  • Extra players/guests over 10 pp can purchase meal tickets for $10 due at Registration booth the day of            playing.
  • We will fill the first 16 openings in the brackets first (first come, first served). Following that, teams                will be placed on a waiting list in the order they register, and we will open new brackets in blocks              of 4 teams. We imagine a field of 40 Men's and 12 Women's for this year as our limit for play.
  • No Zulu (nudie runs) or poor behavior will be tolerated and will be subject to arrest.
  • No walk-ups are guaranteed team entry.
  • Tournament rules will be published in the game-day program.
  • Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the facility per City Ordinance - please help us by                               complying. The beer garden will have reasonably priced beer and wine available throughout the               afternoon.
  • Tickets will be issued, and violators will also be subject to team forfeit.
  • Dogs are not permitted, please leave your pups at home.                                                                                       Call San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation for details on Animal rules and ordinances.
  • Concessions (hot dogs, burgers, drinks, etc) will be available for purchase throughout the day.
  • A limited amount of first aid equipment will be available at the field, but we do seriously                             STRONGLY RECOMMEND each team brings their own first aid kit and trainer.
